The skywalk is the connecting element for the bridge between two different areas. A building which fits particularly well to the EXPO – connects most different cultures with each other in the smallest place.
The 340 m long Skywalk for the EXPO 2000 in Hannover had also a highly practical objective.
It allowed the World Expo visitors to go from the EXPO railway station Laatzen to the EXPO area on the direct and weather-protected way.
The construction should neither restrict the upward visibility nor impair street and pedestrian areas below.
